The bridge, officially known as the "Concrete Ship Bridge" — is a concrete bridge project linking the Al-Mashoura district (south of Mosul) on one side, and the villages of the Al-Qayara district, Makhmour district and Al-Kuwair district on the other side across the banks of the Tigris River.
